FAQ

What is pledging?

Pledging is the amount of ADA a pool operator stakes into their own pool — the operator's skin in the game. Under Cardano's reward formula, a higher pledge increases the rewards the pool earns, which is why a meaningful pledge signals a committed operator.

What is pool saturation?

Saturation is the point at which a pool holds more stake than the network's optimal threshold (set by protocol parameters). Beyond it, rewards per ADA start to decline for everyone delegating to that pool, so it's worth delegating to pools that aren't yet saturated.

When will I receive my first reward?

Cardano pays rewards once per epoch (every five days), but the first payment is delayed by the staking cycle. After you delegate, expect your first reward in roughly 15–20 days; payments then arrive every epoch as long as you stay delegated.

Do I need to re-stake after each reward?

No. Rewards are automatically added to your delegated stake in the same pool, and any new ADA you receive in the wallet counts toward your stake as well. Delegation continues until you change or withdraw it.

Why do my rewards fluctuate?

Block production involves an element of luck by design, and this is the same for every pool. Over a single epoch a pool may earn slightly more or less than expected, but over time rewards converge toward the network average — assuming the pool maintains high uptime.

What are the risks of staking with Nedscave?

Your ADA never leaves your wallet and stays under your control — you can send, receive, and spend at any time, and delegation cannot put your principal at risk. The main variable is rewards: if a pool runs poorly or goes offline, you simply earn less for that period. There's no lock-up and no slashing on Cardano.

Why stake with Nedscave?

Our relays are distributed across multiple regions and tuned for redundancy and performance on the Cardano network. Core infrastructure runs under a 99.95% SLA, giving delegators consistent block production and a strong probability of earning the full expected return.

How do I stake with Nedscave?

Use any Cardano wallet that supports delegation — Lace, Eternl, Typhon, or Yoroi for everyday use, or Daedalus if you prefer running a full node. Once your wallet is funded, open its staking or delegation section, search for NEDS, and choose one of our pools: NEDS1, NEDS2, NEDS3, or NEDS4. Delegating costs a one-time 2 ADA deposit (refundable when you de-register), and your ADA stays spendable throughout.

Can I delegate to more than one pool at once?

A single wallet delegates its entire stake to one pool at a time. If you want to split your stake across multiple pools, you can do so by holding ADA in separate wallets and delegating each to a different pool.
